"I am writing to make the public aware of how dangerous State Farm Insurance can be by the way they treat their clients. I will try to post this across as many platforms as possible to ensure the message is heard. I have been a loyal customer of JUDY WILSON TOBIAS and her FATHER for 35 years having been originally insured with them since i started driving at 15yrs of Age. My parents have been loyal much longer. I subsequently had HOI through them for 25 years. I was loyal to a fault. I knew their rates weren't the best, and though I shopped from time to time I never left. Nancy was my agent since i was a teenager. Up to early Aug of 2024 I had 5 vehicles covered and a home. I have teenage and college drivers so you can imagine i paid MONTHLY well above what most people pay YEARLY. This last year has unfortunately been a difficult one with two of my kids having accidents on with their cars - luckily it was just young driving skill accidents that did not include other vehicles or people. I too hit an object on the road causing damage to my car. Needless to say, after 35 years of coverage state farm dropped me over $15000 in claims - fyi I pay that in 7 months through premiums. JUST WHEN YOU NEED INSURANCE AFTER A LIFETIME OF LOYALTY AND MONTHYLY AND YEARLY PAYMENTS - STATE FARM DROPPED MY FAMILY OVER $15,000. More so, they sent ONE LETTER via mail telling us we were dropped. I did not see it and continued to believe I had coverage; perhaps that was my fault but we all get a ton of useless mail and sometimes its hard to find the ONE envelope that appears to matter. Regardless, for 3 weeks my family drove around uninsured and NOBODY from State Farm had the DECENY to even call and say "I'm sorry this is happening, but I want to ensure you knew we are no longer servicing your insurance needs". For three weeks if ANYTHING had happened, my family and possibly another involved family could have suffered greatly for lack of insurance. STATE FARM PUT MY FAMILY AT RISK, FINANCIALLY AS WELL AS PHYSICALLY. THE DAMAGE COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. A Simple Call, albeit probably a hard one to make, would have gone a long way in avoiding this situation. Instead, NANCY AND JUDY IGNORED MY FAMILY'S NEEDS AFTER A RELATIONSHIP LASTING WELL OVER 35 YEARS. I recognize that being dropped is a common practice among insurance companies BUT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR WITH REAL POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCES. When I called State Farm and spoke to Judy, she was "Sorry". OK JUDY, AS A HUMAN BEING DO BETTER. STATE FARM, AS A COMPANY THAT CLAIMS TO CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS - DO BETTER! I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH STATE FARM AGAIN - MY PARENTS WILL END THIER NEAR HALF A CENTURY RELATIONSHIP WITH JUDY AND MY NIECE, THAT SINGED UP WITH STATE FARM ON MY RECOMMENDATION, WILL ALSO DROP ALL HER BUSINESS WITH NANCY AND JUDY. LEARN TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE HUMANS. HOPEFULLY ANYBODY ELSE THAT READS THIS WILL ALSO SEND A MESSAGE TO STATE FARM TO DO BETTER."
